I started AgWest in my home, and about the same time we had outgrown that space, Phelps County Development Corporation approached me to consider Phelps County for AgWest’s expansion plans. I was surprised to learn about everything Phelps County had to offer and when the PCDC offered to work with us on a package of assistance and incentives, the decision was easy. Today we are building a new corporate headquarters in Holdrege, but neither that project nor our original move to Phelps County would have been possible without the help of PCDC.

We appreciate the proposed support of the revitalization of downtown Holdrege, a project of the Chamber’s as part of Vision 2020, as well as support for Chamber programs aimed at the agricultural community. We actively approve of the Prosperity Project’s efforts to market Phelps County and to recruit individuals and families, including our own alumni, to come here to fill current and future jobs.
We believe the long-term sustainability of Phelps County includes the goals set forth in the Prosperity Project and depends on the collaboration of organizations and individuals to achieve it. We urge citizens to join us in support of the Prosperity Project.
